I decided early on that 2026 was going to be My Year, I was finally going to do all the things I’ve said I’d do – I would find myself again. One of the things I was missing was my magic. I have loved the Witchy side of life for as long as I can remember, and at the start of the year I felt like I had abandoned all of my Witchy Ways. So I decided that I would do Magical March, and spend the month finding ways to add more intention, more mindfulness, more whimsy, more magic to my days.
I’ve not been one for big elaborate rituals, I am definitely more of a lazy witch at heart, but I do believe that crystals have energy, that the moon affects us, that cooking with love does make a meal better. And that adding mini moments of mindfulness to our days can make the mundane more magical. So yes, I did get some of my magic back in March, and I’ll be doing another magical month in May – and I’d love for you to join me.
Here’s what I learned during Magical March:
Noticing Matters
I would say that we spend a lot of our time on auto-pilot. Waking up and getting ready for the day, getting to school or work, preparing food, exercising, getting ready for bed – much of this is the same or very similar every time, so our brains tune out, its seen it before and doesn’t need to pay attention. But if you actively make yourself pay attention to what is going on you will often notice something different. Next time you are doing something familiar tune into your 5 senses and tell yourself what you can see, hear, taste, smell and touch.
The Little Things Count
I’m not going to tell you that stirring your coffee clockwise and whispering ‘Today is a good day’ is a life-changing experience, but tuning into your intention for the day and saying it out loud does make a difference. Standing outside for a minute with your bare feet on the ground and taking a deep breath does make you pause. Choosing to wear something that makes you smile over the first thing you grab does change the energy you take outside.
I feel like I barely touched the surface of what I could have done in Magical March, and so I have decided I am going to go again for Magical May.
This is your official invitiation to join me.

Whether you already consider yourself witchy and want to try something a little different, or you just want to have some fun and add some mini magical, mindful moments to your day, I would love for you to follow along.
I plan to make it as available as possible and will be posting across all my social media channels. I have a Facebook group which we can use for chatting, I’ll be posting longer articles on the website and there will be a daily email you can sign up for too. This will all be completely free and I’ll be sharing more details on exactly how you can get involved in the next couple of days. So please make sure to subscribe or follow @onmydiningtable on whichever channels you enjoy using the most.
