Hi, welcome to our little corner of the internet where we are looking forward to sharing our love of food and cooking with you. Along with ideas on how to bring more magic and mindfulness into your home & kitchen.
Matthew and I have been together since 2003 and have always enjoyed spending time in the kitchen together. I can’t say cooking together, as we tend to get on each other’s nerves when we start interfering with what the other is doing. But as soon as we got our own house and were able to host parties and Sunday lunches we have enjoyed bringing people together. I love setting the table, making desserts, choosing the wine. Matthew enjoys the menu planning and cooking. Neither of us are professionally trained, although I did run a cake business for nearly 10 years, but that’s a story for another time…

This blog started as a lock down project when I realised just how much we used our dining table. Not just for eating and hosting, but for home schooling, crafting, talking, for starting a business, playing games and reading tarot cards. We are a fairly average family, and (as much as I would love to) we do not live in an ‘Insta-house’. Most of the time there are piles of clutter, laundry to be put away, mail that needs to be filed, cupboards that need sorting, etc.
To give you an idea of what to expect, most of your story telling posts, crafty ideas, witchy stuff (yes, I am into all that ‘woo woo’) will come from me, with baking recipes, ingredient correspondences and table setting ideas. Matthew will be bringing the savoury recipes, book reviews, kitchen gadgets, meal planning and money saving ideas. Evie will be on hand to help with some child friendly ideas, and Ted (our French Bulldog) will be our not-so-patient recipe tester, when appropriate.

We promise to get straight to the good stuff with our recipes and will put all the story info at the end, for those that want to read it.
This blog has been a long time coming, and I have waited far to long to get this out there. So bear with me as I learn what I need to and please feel free to leave us feedback on what you would like to see. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Happy cooking,
Rhian x
